The International Wine & Spirit Competition results release was made in conjunction with a major South African trade tasting – WOSA’s Intrepid South Africa. Intrepid South Africa, took place at Tobacco Dock in London on 8th September 2016 and put the spotlight on South African wines.
South African wine farms were awarded an astounding 30 Gold medals, and 9 Gold Outstanding. Unusually, of all awarded wines, 24% were Silver Outstanding, 53% Silver and only 18% Bronze. Usually the larger proportion are awarded Bronze medals, highlighting how high the standards are for this set of South African wines.
Overhex Wines International are proud to have received a Silver Outstanding medal for their Survivor Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 and a Silver medal for their Survivor Chenin Blanc 2015.
